The Town of Somers is a semi-rural community that is best known as the home of the American Circus and the famed Elephant Hotel. An elected Supervisor and four elected town board members conduct the business of the community. The Municipal offices are located
in the Town House at the intersection of Routes 100 and 202 in Somers.
Somers
is composed of many small hamlets:
Amawalk, Baldwin Place, Granite Springs, Lincolndale, Lake Purdys &
Shenorock. It has been the fastest
growing community in Westchester County for over a decade with the additions of
corporate offices for IBM and Pepsi Cola plus Heritage Hills, a large
condominium development.
Somers
offers its residents an unsurpassed quality of life with plenty of open county
acres, water views, and the newly refurbished and expanded Somerstown Shopping
Center. Somers residents enjoy carefree
country life with suburban conveniences.
